  ABLE, Inc. celebrates Earth Day each year by inflating aluminum prices to our customers. Earth Day was originally started in 1970 by Senator Gaylord Nelson to increase the public’s awareness of the environment and how best to protect and preserve it. Earth Day is officially celebrated on April 22. By teaching people we hire and support to be good stewards of the earth, we’re not only creating employment but we’re also able to sustain peoples’ employment.
  
  We’ve recycled well over a half million pounds of aluminum cans since we started this venture back in 1987. ABLE is also the official drop-off site for can tabs to help finance The Ronald McDonald House. Our customers donate their can tabs and we then write a check to The Ronald McDonald House as part of our commitment to the community.
