BENEFITS FOR ABLE, INC. EMPLOYEES
ABLE, Inc. offers an attractive benefit package to our full time employees. Employees have an additional 33% of their salary that can be applied to benefits.
Non Optional Benefits:
- $25,000 term life insurance available upon enrollment. The policy terminates when employees leave full time employment.
- Available upon enrollment. Employees who are unable to work for 30 days due to health reasons may be eligible for disability through Horace Mann Insurance. The plan supports 2/3 of wages. The policy terminates when employees leave full time employment.
Optional Benefits: Employees have the choice of these benefits:
- ABLE, Inc. offers the Blue Choice plan through Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Choices are single, employee/child, employee/spouse, family. Eligibility for insurance is on the 1st or 16th of the month immediately following 30 calendar days of continuous employment and per approval from Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
- Plan is through Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Options are single or family. Eligibility for insurance is on the 1st or 16th of the month immediately following 30 calendar days of continuous employment and per approval from Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
- Retirement; 403 (b) tax deferred annuity
- After six full calendar months (i.e. full calendar month means first of month to end of month) of employment with ABLE, Inc; ABLE, Inc. will Contribute a lump sum of $150 ($25 times 6 months) into the full time employee's Annuity Retirement Plan. Post six months, ABLE, Inc. will contribute $25 a month to the full time employee's Annuity Retirement Plan. Employee’s may contribute benefit money remaining after insurances. ABLE, Inc. will match this amount 100% as allowed by law.
- Section 125 Flexible Benefits
- Includes Medical Care Spending up to $2,400 per year, Dependent Care, Premium Rate Conversion (for money taken out of paychecks as a result of insurance).

Leave Time
- Paid Personal Leave Time
- Gives employees paid time away from work for sickness and vacations. Upon hire, employees begin accruing 8.66 hours of personal leave time each month. Employees must be employed for 6 months in a regular position before using this leave. Leave time accumulates per length of time employed.

- Extended Leave Time
- ABLE, Inc. offers additional leave time for extended period of illness. Employees begin accruing 3 hours of extended leave per month upon hire date up to 240 hours.
- Funeral Leave
- ABLE, Inc. offers paid leave time for purposes of bereavement.
- Donated Leave
- Employees have the option to donate leave time to another employee who may be facing a family or personal crisis.
- Holidays
- ABLE, Inc. recognizes New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
- Full time employees will obtain eight hours of paid holiday time for each holiday listed above. Part time employees who work the recognized holidays will be paid double time and have the option of banking hours in a paid personal leave account or being paid out.
Education
- The module training offered through Minot State University offers an affordable educational package. Employees have benefited greatly from the required education and optional educational experiences.
